May 2014, Stitch Factory, in partnership with Bugalow Clothing and Chaser Brand held the first annual Made in DTLV event.
It was a huge success, with Ermalinda as the winning designer to showcase her design in the Chaser Brand Collection.
What will Made in DTLV 2015 look like?
Stitch Factory will partner with Las Vegas Pride. Designers will compete for a chance to have their creation chosen by Brendan Jordan and Miley Cyrus to be a part of the Happy Hippie Foundation's Apparel Collection.
Why Miley Cyrus and The Happy Hippie Foundation?
As a a supporter of the LGBT community, we want to partner with a brand who puts this issue at the forefront of their mission. The Happy Hippie Foundation's support of homeless LGBT youth draws us to this brand. We'd love to show our support for the Happy Hippie Foundation by having them as the brand that our designers focus on when designing their brand.
What are we asking of Miley Cyrus and the Happy Hippie Foundation?
- To provide a mood-board as a guide for the designers.
- To select a winner based on the brand.
- To showcase the garment as part of the Happy Hippie Foundation's Apparel collection.
- (not required) We'd love to have Miley at the event.
How does this benefit the Happy Hippie Foundation?
This event will provide direct access to the foundation's audience, as well as bring awareness to the issue of homeless LGBT youth to a new population. This will deepen the connection of Happy Hippie to DTLV, a supportive and action-focused community.
